A Letter to a Glass Studio

A Letter to a Glass Studio September 19, 2011 Inner Visions Glass Studio 555 Monroe Avenue Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53201 Dear Inner Visions Glass Studio: I am a social studies teacher at Monroe Middle School. My classes are studying world cultures. We have discussed craftsmanship in ancient Egypt and Greece and will cover the same topic for Rome. One of the crafts we have discussed is glassblowing. It would be fantastic to follow up these units with a visit to your glassblowing studio. I think the students would be thrilled to see your craftspeople at work. In addition, it would be a big plus if someone at your studio could talk to us a little about the history of glassblowing and how the technology has changed over time. Please let me know if a visit and lecture could be arranged, and if so, what the approximate cost might be. Looking forward to hearing from you soon!
