Head on over to the city’s thriving farmers market. There you’ll find exotic vegetables and herbs, and a dizzying array of that old American favorite, the apple! Delicious, But Not a Delicious! A single orchard had brought 20 varieties to display in its booth! Perfect for Pie Many of these apple varieties are heirlooms. They were saved from extinction by small farmers and seed banks across the country.
