I Lost Lex

I Lost Lex By Sarah Fienberg On a hot day in summer, I had a big job. I had to fix up a ram pen. My dog Lex came too. The pen had mud on the floor. It had bugs and webs in the corners. I cleaned it up. I let the ram in. But it did not run in. It ran into a hen hut. The hens had a fit! A mad hen got out. The ram ran after the hen. Lex ran after the ram! I got the hen. I put it in its hut. I got the ram. I had to tug at it, but I got it in its pen. But I did not see Lex. Later on, I fed the hens. In the hen hut, sat Lex. But it was not JUST Lex. Lex had six red pups! ™ © Advanced Assessment Systems/LinkIt! Passage provided under license from PassageBank.com. Use and duplication is restricted to licensees only.
